I Love Junkin!!

Mr Penny and I had so much fun at the yard sales this week end.  We went out for a little while on Friday and the only thing  we bought was this old typewriter. Isn't she a beauty???  $8.  I looked her up on the internet and I think she was made about 1920-1925.

She is a Remington Portable, and she is in excellent condition.

Look how the keys come up!  She works like a charm!

The case is not in very good shape, has a leather strap and the latch works!

I just love her!

I found this old medicine cabinet today..$10.

She has lots of charm!  The mirror has a lot of great fatinia!!

The inside is pretty rough!  I think that hole on the back is actually the hanger!!!

I got this cute little milk glass lamp for $2.. I collect milk glass so I hardly ever pass a good piece up.

I loved this rice sack!  I got it at the auction.  I bought a pile of stuff for $2.50, there were not many people there and stuff was going pretty cheap!

I got this trash can for .50, it is fabric covered and has a glass liner.

Metal heart box .25

This wool rug was in that stack of stuff that I got at the auction for 2.50.  I really only wanted the rose rice sack, but I had to buy the whole stack.  There was also 3 burlap potatoe sacks in the stack.

The rug is in very good condition, but I don't decorate southwest!  I will try to find someone to enjoy it and give it to them.

I bought another box at the auction for $1.00.  This sweet metal box was in it. And those 2 branded things to the side of it...don't know what they are!

I got this little aqua cannister for .50

This sweet piece of silver and the serving spoon and fork were 2.00

The top has great fatinia!

My grandmother had one of these door stops.  She made it out of a syrup jar filled with beans! This was in my .1.00 box!

I got these 3 bead necklaces for .75.  I had seen a bead rosary that someone made for their santos, thought I might try to made one for mine!

I love to go junkin and I hope you enjoyed seeing all my treasures!!

  5. I think everyone in that age range had one of those door stops made with a syrup bottle. My Mom had one, too. You found some very neat things there. I just got a typewriter that is very similar to yours but my own is a Royal- same size though- xo Diana
