Magnolia and Ferns

For breakfast this morning, I chose magnolia dishes and asparagus fern as my theme. I added a wonderful Goose Creek Candle that I just got in the mail yesterday!  I won it ...more on that later!

I love just a simple floral design for the breakfast table. I tried my hand at painting some mason jars the other day and I really like the look!

We normally start our day with a cup of coffee.  The glasses I am using for juice are a very pale yellow.

We will just have toast on this beautiful plate, we have a very simple breakfast.

Our little teacart that we rescued from the trash!

I thought it would add a little fun to the table to use the newspaper funnies for placemats. Just a way to recycle and add a little fun to the table!  The plastic handled silverware are from the 50's.

We have cereal for breakfast almost every morning, add a little milk, splenda, and a few slices of banana!

Love the teacups!

This is a beautiful tablecloth that my mother had.

A little chenille pillow for Howard back.  BTW, he will probably have his back surgery in late Sept.

Cute little salt and pepper shakers.  I hope you have enjoyed seeing my breakfast table!

  5. What a lovely breakfast. I never have enough time or energy to get that extravagant first thing in the morning. How I admire you and your efforts and I'm sure it is greatly appreciated by those sitting down to the fruit of your labor.

  11. The plates are adorable. But the most things catches my eyes were your chairs, pillows and crocheted runner/tablecloth. Adorable.
