But this auction had lots of dolls and toys, so she went and had a good time. She bought some collector Barbies, a big box of vintage Barbies, and this Precious Moments Sugar Town trail set. |
I can't wait to set it up for her again at Christmas....she is going to let me borrow it! |
I don't know if I paid too much for it or not, but it was one of those memories that money can't buy.....our day at the auction! |
You all know how much I love rose dishes and the auction had lots of boxes of them. I picked this set......7 cups....8 saucers, 4 dessert plates. and a creamer and sugar bowl. |
They are marked Pope Gosser .... |
The box also contained two odd saucers and several plate stands .....$5. |
I found these pink silk poinsettias bushes at a yard sale ....there were 3 bushes for $1 each. |

Really great finds, Penny. You are right some things you can't put a price on for the memories that are made by purchasing the item. That train is one of those things. xo Diana

ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteJoe and I hit some yard sales and some church flea markets this past weekend. I almost bought the same tea cup rack but i already have one so I didn't. It too was only $5.00. I did buy LOTS of other things...will be posting about it all soon.
LOVE those dishes and I also have the identical pink Santa!! he is in my DR every year!!
The one Church Flea market is collecting things all month and open every Sat. in June so they will have some new things this week.... Yes, i will be heading there on Saturday morning! They had some really pretty things!!
I adore the train set and yes, it was worth the memories for Kyleigh. I bet she had such a good time!!
Hugs,
Deb

What a lovely memory you will have to share with Kyleigh. You did very well at the sales. I love those shelves to display cup and saucers.
ReplyDeleteYou found some awesome things. So pretty and I can't believe the prices!! What finds!!
ReplyDeletePenny! I have that exact cup rack in my living room and I had it painted white by my pairter years ago. I love it. I cannot even recall where I found it but I know it was not at a store. It's just been too many years. I had it many years in it's original color..which I have many, many photo's of. Sometimes in my living room and sometimes in my dining room. It's in the photo's of my living room now...in white...with cups and saucers on it. I recently added some lovely floral stems to the top ...It's one of my favorite things.
ReplyDeleteYou are going to LOVE it in white.
Love,
Mona
