I bought two gorgeous tea cups and saucers at the auction Saturday for H and I to have a little "Tea for Two"..... . |
This one has a leaf pattern on it..... |
and this one has gold embellishments.... |
There isn't much information on the bottom..... the only mark I can see is an X and I think the number 64...not sure! |

ReplyDeleteSo here I go again....
BEAUTIFUL!!!! Be still my heart!! Penny, they are drop dead gorgeous!! LOVE them!!
I have been working in the DR. My neighbor Elly, who the sons had to put in a Nursing Home last year had 3 curios that the sons said i could have since we have been taking care of the house and yard for them. One of them came in this weekend to take some things to set up his son in an apartment in for college and told me to take the curios whenever I want so we moved the smaller one over last night and I was making room for the larger one.
Hugs,
Deb
Your new teacups are lovely. Pretty in pink and gold! So different and yet so similar. Very elegant. Happy Tea Day!

Hi Penny: Your cups are stunning. I think maybe they are German. You always find such wonderful treasures. Wish I lived closer. I would love to go shopping with you. Have a great week. Blessings, Martha
ReplyDeleteI was visiting Marty..(I didn't join in the party, nothing to inspire!) and after glancing through all the posts I saw LITTLE TEA CUPS and OF course it was Penny! Those are lovely tea cups Penny. Just beautiful! See? Even when it's just a thumbnail I can find you! :)

It appears to me there is an I to the left of the X on your tea cup. The below the 64 and perhaps an other tiny mark. It's difficult to tell..
ReplyDeleteYour tea cups are beautiful! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

ReplyDeleteI love those teacups Penny. The gold and pink are beautiful together. For some reason they remind me of Marie Antoinette, fit for a queen!

ReplyDeleteThey're both gorgeous sets. Love the beautiful vignette you've created with your new treasures. Thanks for sharing at the Vintage Inspiration Party.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone ever say they get a warning of a bad file when they come to your blog.? It happens every time I come over. Not sure what it is.
I've had one other visitor say they had that problem! I don't know what it is.... I've had that warning come up a few times when I have visited other blogs, but I went on ahead and visited hoping that my virus protection would kick in and do it' job and it always did.....hugs,,...
DeleteA much too lovely a cup to drink out of it. To me, it is a show piece.
