Sights of the Season

Although I love the hustle and bustle of Christmas,  I didn't get out of the house  (or my PJ's for that matter) on Black Friday.   Saturday?.....we spent the whole day enjoying sights of the season.     A life size Santa and Mrs Claus caught my eye.....who could resist this jolly face!

Velvet.....Victorian.....Lace....Roses.....

Their clothes were gorgeous!

Here is Mrs Claus.....

Her white fur hand muff was beautiful.....every detail was perfect.

You could bring them home with you for about $1000 dollars.....maybe next year.....lol!

We stopped by the greenhouse to pick up some fresh potted flowers for the holidays.....

Poinsettias as far as the eye could see.......

I loved the tri colored pots......

Christmas cabbage?

I finally decided on these two pots of pink poinsettias.    The photo doesn't really show how big these flowers are....each pot of flowers is about 30" tall and 30" across

Our day wouldn't be complete without a stop at Holland Nursery.    They have about 100 theme decorated trees.   The Nutcracker tree is my favorite.....I loved this ones Christmas tree hat

So many ornaments to chose from....

This is the one I finally decided to bring home with me....

I put my Ballerina Giraffe right next to the Nutcracker bride and groom!

Holland has a huge selection of Mark Roberts......Dept 56.....Jim Shore......

They have ribbons....lights....garlands.....

I have been going to this Christmas open house every year since H and I got married

We had dinner at the Gator Bayou....catfish, shrimp, crawfish, and sweet potato fries...yummy!   Then we took a long ride around town to enjoy the outdoor Christmas lights!

  4. Now that's a day well spent! :) You mean to tell me that you didn't bring home that jolly old couple? They were the cutest I've ever seen. But then at my age I've begun to never say "next year" :) You should be featured in magazines everywhere!
