62 Mile Long Yard Sale

We went on a 62 mile long yard sale Saturday....what fun!
The sale started just east of Lubbock Texas on US 62/82 and ended in Dickens Texas.

My favorite stop was at Stuffology in Crosbyton Texas

Crosbyton's town square had several antique shops open for the sale and locals had set up tables in front of the shops with their goodies.    Stuffology is in a big warehouse just off the square.

If you like rusty crusty "stuff"  you will love Stuffology

For a town with a population of about 2300,   I was really impressed with this "little" shop  (it's really pretty big)!

Want to see more .....visit their pinterest page........https://www.pinterest.com/TXStuffology/stuffology/
Or you can visit them on Facebook  .........https://www.facebook.com/stuffologywherevintagemeetsmodern

Horse drawn covered wagon......two cowboys around the campfire.....Christmas decor on the lawn in Texas!

This shop along the highway was really cute.....

Locals just set up on the side of the road to sell their goodies....
And of course,   I did manage to buy  a few goodies .......be back soon to show you what I found.

  5. Went to garage sales Saturday too..nothing spectacular but it was fun. I did find a full set of silverware..with all the serving pieces, even ice tea spoons for $35. It's beautiful! All blackened in a cardboard box..but every piece was there and not a bit of damage. Why people don't want to polish silver is a mystery to me. It's SO worth that little bit of work.
Remembrance is the pattern. Did I ever tell you that I found a place setting for 8 in sterling with even the little butter knives? Plus lots of extra pieces such as large serving spoons etc. and in a silverware chest for $10! "Prelude" billed as the most beautiful ever made. Cost when researched was $4200. That's how I got hooked on garage sales. :)
You must have had the time of your life, Penny.
    The price when researched was

  14. Oh this sounds like a fun time, we used to travel the back roads of Texas every weekend finding the cutest quaint little towns, still so much to see. Seemed like no matter which way we drove 3 hours out we would come upon a new town. Loved Bandera and Fredricksburg oh and Boerne!!
