The Versatile Duncan Phyfe Table

This Duncan Phyfe table is the first one I ever bought.....many many years ago....lol!    I used it for several years......gave it to my daughter and she used it a while and gave it back.....I put it in my booth and it didn't sell.....so I brought it home last week.      I didn't need another table in the house,  so I decided to use it as a small buffet by the dining table in the family room.

It will work great to hold extra food at family get together's......

You all know me....I couldn't leave my new buffet plain ....could I?

I added a table runner first....then a throw pillow case.....a board with some fabric on it.....a white picture frame  .....and a few (have you ever known me to just add a few ....lol) accessories!

Ta da!

I really did try to keep the accessories to a minimum......

I didn't want to have to take many things off the buffet when........

............I would like to spread the buffet out and use it as an additional table for big family dinners.

Hidden in the center of my DP is another section to add,  and when you pull up the sides,  you have a full sized table.

Put your two DP tables together and you can easily seat 8 or more.

After dinner is over,   take out the leaf,  put the sides down and you have your buffet again.

I have another post that shows how you can add a round DP table to each end of a rectangle table .....here's the link to it....http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2016/01/romantic-valentine-dinner.html

I have one more post planned to show you both tables put together AND still use the two round table too!
