Better this Way or This Way

The entry is one of the hardest area's I have to photograph.....the only natural light is from the front door.    And...... it's not very wide,  so it's hard to get a "total" shot.    To make it even harder,   I have two mirrors and it's hard  to get a shot without some part of my body photo bombing....lol!

This spring vignette is just inside the front door.

I inherited this cute chair with some rental property that we bought a long time ago.

The property had 6 one bedroom apartments that were furnished with vintage pieces.    I took out the ones I really liked for "safe keeping" .
I took off the bunnies and pillows that you saw in the above photo so you could see the chair better and I sat them in the two chairs by the fireplace in the next room.    Well,  I really liked them there......

So   I put the pillows back and left the bunnies in the formal living room chairs.

In the photo before this one you can see this little bunny was originally sitting on the floor next to the chair on a pillow .

Better this way.....................................................................or this way,   what do you think?

I moved a little further down and started photographing the other end of the entry.

I tried and tried to get a good photo of the cute bunnies without some part of me being in the photo.   I even moved them down on the floor,  but still not much luck.

While I was on the floor,  I took an "eye to eye" photo of this little guy......

I liked the look of my bunny light on the floor so I took the floral design from the formal dining room table and put in where the light was.

Better this way..............................................or this way?

It is supposed to be in the high 70's today.....so,  I'll be in the yard!

  1. Seriously---do they cause much damage when they ruckus at night when you are sleeping....I imagine all your critters dancing and carousing all night while you sleep---probably to Tchaikovsky. LOL, Sandi

  3. I actually like it both ways! Whichever you choose will be perfect. Your entryway is so pretty and I totally get what you mean about having a hard time photographing it. I have a few places in my house that I can't get a good shot of at all. Thanks for sharing at Inspiration Thursday!

  10. The bench is so unique Penny! I like the second choice where you see more of it, but either is cute. It's been in the upper 60's here and I have been playing in the dirt as well. Love it! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

  12. Isn't it funny the things we will do for a good photo! I will be on a chair-leaning to the side-bending down trying to get a shot especially with a mirror! You did a wonderful job. I love your projects. Thanks for sharing at #HomeMattersParty

  13. Your entry is beautiful which ever way you choose. You have so many lovely decorations for spring and Easter. I know what you mean about trying to keep your self out of the photos. Sometimes especially when mirrors are involved it is very difficult but you did a remarkable job in getting some great shots. Thank you for sharing a Vintage Charm and hope to see you this week too. sb
