In Your Easter Bonnet

Are you ready for Easter?

Do you have your Easter Bonnet?

Easter suit,  shoes,  handbag?

I love vintage clothes and think Easter is a perfect time to wear them......

I played with some of my vintage clothes today and set up a fun boutique on the porch .....

This hat is my favorite!

I wanted to share the "bones" of my boutique......

On the left is a black coat rack that I bought at the auction last year......

H added two iron corner units to the  top........ceramic door knobs.......chair legs....and odds and end for me to hang my "stuff" on!     It will be perfect to hang plants,  birdcages,  I'm only limited by my imagination!

I used gold candle sticks to display the vintage hats ......

The porch smells wonderful!

Our lilac bush is full of blooms,  so I cut some stems to use in the vignette.   They were starting to wilt by the time I was thru taking photo's so I cut them apart and laid the blooms on newspaper to dry.    They will be perfect to use as potpourri.

  1. What fun photos and those hats bring back memories of when we got a hat and gloves for Easter. I still remember a silly hat I had that was flat on top! Happy Easter Penny!

  3. Oh what fun you must have had, I would love to wander through, I love the hats, my grandmother used to have quit the collection and always wore them to church. Of course I used to use them for dress up too, if I was careful.

Thanks for sharing on the #OMHGFF!!
Hope you have a wonderful Easter!!

  4. Penny, a millinery on the porch? I love it! It really reminds me of the days when I was a little girl and we really dressed for Easter. :)

  6. Penny!!!
This is spectacular and I gasped when I realized it is set up on your porch outside!!! I am so jealous that you are able to do this outside. It was 30 degrees here this morning but we will have a decent Easter Sunday with temps. in the 50's which in March is pretty good and with no snow!!
Another beautiful display!! You never cease to amaze me!!

    Happy Easter!!

    Hugs,
    Deb

  7. I remember when I was a young girl I would always get a new Easter bonnet and the longer the ribbon the better it was, hence my love of hats. Happy Easter everyone.

  9. Penny, What an adorable little boutique you've set up! Would have loved to see you model some of those gorgeous hats! I used to dress my girls up in pretty dresses, hats and gloves for Easter . . .now they all wear blue jeans. Sigh. You make me long for Easterpast. Thanks so much for coming over and linking up with us for Snickerdoodle Sunday and for sharing your lovely things!
