What can I do with all those boxes that are now heavy with 'everyday' decor....two choices....tote them back out to the studio. Or, a better choice, stack them to make a unique Christmas tree. |
I stacked them on and around the three tiered Duncan Phyfe table that was already sitting in front of the window in the family dining room. |
The tree topper for my decorative box tree is a free standing metal Christmas tree. The tag that is clipped to my metal tree came from the currant Christmas edition of Daphne's Diary. |
I created mini vignettes on the lids of some of my decorative boxes. |
My reindeer is pulling a sled with an ombre tree on it..... |
I named this vignette....."Elk and Bambi" |
I tucked glittery greenery under....on.....and around my boxes |
I added Christmas prints to some of my boxes.....(you can find this one on my Pinterest board.....Print it) |
I named this vignette.....Mama and baby |
I have a few Santa's scattered around and on my tree...... |
This Santa dressed in pink is one of my favorites..... |
The other two Santa's are dressed in white..... |
Santa surrounded by flowers..... |
I bought the pale green glittered fern at Michaels a couple of years ago....wish they still carried it! I named this vignette .....Santa and his Moose |
Have Cupid.....now I need to find a pillow with a print of Rudolph on it! |
If you have any secrets about how to store holiday decor....please share with a comment! |
Leave it to me to change the subject. The apron in the corner. Oh my goodness. What a beauty!!!! Could you post a better pix of just that? Pretty please?

ReplyDeletePenny what a clever idea, and looking at your hat storage boxes and it has given me an idea to cover some to stack as well. I love the manikin, the dress is wonderful!!

Wishing you a great week and wonderful plans for Christmas!
Wow. Even your storage is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and clever 'tree!' Love the way you decorated your boxes - and storage boxes have never been displayed so elegantly! Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThe storage boxes are so pretty, Penny! What a fabulous way to store decor! It all looks so beautiful. I wish I was that organised! Thank you so much for sharing, and for being a part of the Hearth and Soul Link Party. I hope you are having a lovely week, and enjoying getting ready for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteAh yes, the storing of it all is the conundrum isn't it? Good luck with that! :)
ReplyDeleteWHERE did you get that "Cupid" reindeer pillow? Did you find that someplace, or is it a iron-on transfer that you did yourself? That is the most darling thing I've ever seen in my 'fill-in-blank' years of existence!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDecorative boxes are one of my greatest weaknesses. In my old house I had a little walk-in closet and funnily enough that was one of my favorite places. lol! I loved it because it, too, was decorated and always clean because it gave me a space to store all my beautiful boxes. (Filled with books). I really, really miss it. This house I'm in now is so small that nothing like that can really be displayed anymore.
Penny, you never cease to amaze me with your creativity. I love this practical and beautiful idea. Thank you for linking up at Create, Bake, Grow & Gather this week. I'm delighted to be featuring your 'Christmas tree' at tonight's party.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you both x
It's all beautiful and enchanting. And, very creative and practical storage.

ReplyDeleteI love your towel of boxes, Penny. They look like a magical castle of delights.
