It is sometimes hard to find decor that works with my pastel style of decorating. |
The lack of availability has forced me to make many of my decorating accessories. Not only is it fun to create your own decor......it's budget friendly too! |
I made this simple bunny banner with card stock paper, printer, glue, fabric scraps, and scissors. (I also made the ruffled wreath you see reflected in the mirror......not a simple project....lol!) |
The pastel carrots you see in the water tank were made by covering orange carrots with fabric scraps. |
The windmill is a yard sale find that got a coat of pink paint to make it fit in better with my pastel decor. |
There are some details about the carrot makeover on a previous post.....here's the link to it........http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2018/02/cabbages-in-metal-tire-swing-and-pastel.html |
Cottage style Easter eggs were by far my favorite project. |
My inspiration for these super cute fabric eggs came from Kerryanne. |
Here is a link to her blog post with all the details on how to make some for yourself! https://www.shabbyartboutique.com/2015/03/cottage-style-easter-eggs.html |
I hope I've given you some inspiration to decorate your home by giving it your own personal "handmade touch" |
I love this pastel prettiness.

ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteI will be playing catch up...... I can't beleive that I have not commented on all these posts. I have been trying to decorate for Easter but I seem to moving at a slower pace than usual. Joe can not help with moving things up and down from the attic because of his fall so I have been doing it all myself and my knee has really been acting up so I am a bit behind in everything..
Love the banner!! It is precious!!
Hugs,
Deb
