Thanksgiving Vignettes in the Kitchen

Now that Halloween has come and gone,   it's time to decorate our home for Thanksgiving.     Our family is grateful for all of our many blessing all year long,   but we seem to think about them more at Thanksgiving.

I usually decorate the two rooms we are in the most during the Thanksgiving holiday.....the kitchen and the dining room.   I've pretty well decorated the rest of the house for Christmas by then....lol!

I'm definitely not a minimalist but I really really tried to not put a lot of decor on the counters since we will be doing a ton of cooking over the Thanksgiving holiday

This unique find is one of the reasons I love going to auctions!

I use my turkey board as a decoration on the counter during the Thanksgiving season,   then I remove the metal tray and use it to serve food on when we entertain.    I normally fill it with meat,  cheese,  and crackers but it looks really pretty with little finger dessert foods too

I found 3 of these little turkeys at a yard sale a couple of years ago....sadly when I opened the tote this year one of them was broken

Here's another Thanksgiving vignette I created on the kitchen counter.....

Looks like it's going to be a buffalo check Thanksgiving!

It was getting late when I started decorating the counter on this end of the kitchen   (time to start supper)   so I just packed away the pink / white floral pumpkins......

I added a white ceramic turkey and b/w pumpkins to what was left of the existing fall decor

I keep the coffee bar pretty clear of clutter during the Thanksgiving holiday     I need to have plenty of space to put out holiday drinks when we entertain.

This is all I added to the existing decor on the coffee bar.

The island is the real workhorse during Thanksgiving.....we love to gather around it and cook as a family.......

And for the final Thanksgiving touch,   the Pilgrims that have made an appearance  for the last several years found a home in the little nook beside the refrigerator.

I always enjoy your visits so much,    please come back again soon!
