Southern Ice Cream Supper on the Porch

Since July is Ice Cream month,   I thought it would be fun to decorate the front porch in an ice cream theme.     Southern Ice Cream suppers are still popular here in Eastern New Mexico and I am going to have one this week end for our family.     I haven't decided yet if I'll make banana, peach, or chocolate ice cream....maybe all of them!

I began decorating the porch by making a banner for my pink cabinet........

Of course I had to throw in a few Farmhouse touches too!

A balanced diet is an ice cream in each hand!

After I had finished decorating the cabinet,     I made an ice cream themed wreath to hang on the front door.

In the center of my wreath,  I hung a ceiling tile that I bought at Dollar General .   I found an ice cream clock face on Pinterest and printed it off on my home printer.    I attached magnetic tape to the back of my paper clock face and placed it in the center of my tile over the existing print.     Easy peasey......

I always enjoy your visits so much,   please stop by again soon!

  5. So cute, Penny. Loving the whole idea of making ice cream and sharing. My parent's had a cottage where all the family would gather, making ice cream wasnt' that successful, so eventually she just bought pails from a local dairy/creamery. And, nothing is better than Wisconsin small Dairy icecream and fresh fruit! Hugs, Sandi

  7. Good morning Penny, Ice cream get to gathers always brings back great memories. The old hand crank ice cream makers. Oh, I can taste the wonderful fresh homemade peach ice cream and all the other flavors my mom use to have my brothers or whoever would turn the crank to make. Ice cream is good any time in my book.
Thanks for sharing. The clock is darling and very cleaver.

  9. Penny,
Love the Ice Cream theme that is rocking your front porch!! I am always amazed at the banners you make..May I ask you what type of printer you have?? We are in the market for a new one? I hate the Epson one that we have...It seems to eat ink cartridges...
    Hugs,
    Debbie
