The Christmas Front Room

About this time every year,   I begin to feel overwhelmed with all the hustle and bustle of Christmas.  AND... our home was beginning to look more like a cluttered store than a COZY place to relax and enjoy the season!
I decluttered some of the vignettes around the house that I had created earlier in the season to give them a fresh look....

I hadn't decorated the front room for Christmas yet,  so I had a clean slate in here to decorate for Christmas .....

The first thing I brought out is the Reason for the Season.......

I would like to simplify the pillow vignette on the settee.....but I don't know where to start.....lol!

I would normally hang a holiday wreath or Christmasy picture in the center of the buffet.     Instead, I opted to leave the picture that was already hanging there.

I had a bigger table runner that hung over the front of the buffet and I replaced it with a smaller one that let me see more of the beautiful pink marble top

The front room is beginning to look like "all is calm and all is bright"

The sweet angel standing at the end of the buffet completes the look I was going for.....

Now,
I need to create an uncluttered design for the mantel......hope I can do better on it than I did on my "pillow"  vignette!

  5. Everything looks lovely. It's probably your brain that is cluttered...we all do too much this time of year, just too much to do...my list is getting shorter because I'm not doing EVERYTHING...Happy Holidays and breathe and enjoy!, Sandi
