Yard Sale Curtains Create a Fresh Look in the Kitchen

I usually have either a wreath hanging in the window over the kitchen sink or flowers on the windowsill

I was ready for a change, so I hung some baby blue shabby chic curtains in the window & put my usual flowers on the windowsill.....

I hadn't been crazy about the vignette I had created in the corner counter....

I started the new vignette with the graphic that I still liked from the original design but pretty much started from scratch....

I kept the white set of cutting boards with the blue bow that were in my first design.....

I left the ceramic lemon pie out this time.
I put a vintage sailboat tea pot & cute little tin fish & lemon piece in my vignette to replace the pie.....

This photo was taken while I was still playing with the vignette......
I didn't keep part of the stuff that you see in this pic

I left the pretty bow & tea set where they were....

The curtains aren't new.....
I found them at a yard sale several years ago!!

Here's my before pic.......

And,  this is how it looks now!
I had forgotten how much I loved those baby blue curtains ....why on earth did I quit using them!!!!!

  4. Really pretty, Penny! For years, I really didn't care for blue but as I've moved into my 60s, I am really liking blues again. Love your creamer and sugar with those pretty flowers and that lovely bow!! I'm glad you pulled out those soft blue curtains ~ they are lovely in the window. Happily featuring your post at Share Your Style #505 this evening.

    Keep cool and happy decorating,
    Barb :)
