With all this warm weather, I am getting itchy feet to go junkin! I am always on the lookout for a yard sale, estate sale, auction...you name it. |
One of my favorite places to go is Roundtop Tx. They have a show in the spring when all the blue bonnets are in bloom. Fields of blue bonnets as far as you can see! |
We have also taken the little trailer on the Longest Yard Sale several times...it's about 650 miles long. |
We have also went on the Bargains Galore on 64 sale....it is across the state of Arkansas |
We've "junked" up thru Pa and upstate NY...Missouri, Oklahoma...anywhere there is junk! |
There is H on the left looking at some junk! |
You never know what you'll find... |

Hi Penny,
ReplyDeleteI am right there with you. I just got back from Junk Bonanza in Minnesota and woooooo lots of great junkin treasures. Happy junkin.
Kris
Soooo fun! Love how you store your little trailer. Very cute. I so want to go to the longest yard sale someday. Mimi
ReplyDeleteWhat fun- Love it, Penny. Wish I had more junking opportunities here-xo Diana
ReplyDeleteYour trailer must be so convenient when you go junkin'! You can fill it up with lots of finds.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of anything more fun that hooking up to that trailer and heading out on a junking trip! I'm hoping to do a little of that this summer as my mother-in-law and I travel to Pennsylvania from Florida. I am so excited...:)
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Vicky

Oh how fun Penny!... I would LOVE to go junkin' like that!... thanks so much for your visit today, and well wishes on my new Etsy shop... I appreciate your support!... xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to go to Round Top! Your little trailer is adorable!
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! That looks like SOME FUN! I went to the world's longest yard sale last year and it was a blast. I'm trying to talk my daughter into going again but she's not the junkin' lover I am. What to do! Thanks for sharing the pictures!
ReplyDeleteLiz
I would love to do that, but my husband wouldn't go along for that ride. Love your sweet trailer and that it's all decked out when not in use!! I try to stop anywhere along the roadside if we are traveling somewhere and we've come across some goodies that way. Thanks for sharing.. xo marlis
ReplyDeleteI Share your addiction! lol My kids are following in my footsteps and going garage saleling is something we all look forward to. My poor husband is more on the minimalist side...but he's a good sport.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like great fun! I've been waiting for this junking season forever it seems. Can't wait to get out there!
ReplyDeletesandy
I'm like you, it must be very different in Usa than in France, but I think we've the same pleasure !
ReplyDeleteHugs and kisses
How many treasuers!!! I think it' s a great pleasure...how lucky you are!

This is my kinda fun. I've been hearing a lot about that longest garage sale!! We have a hugh sale here in Kansas in Sparks. Its a 3-day sale in May and Sept. So many boths and not enough time.
ReplyDeleteAnn
Penny we have something in common! You are so blessed to share this love with your H. Mine will take me, but it's not that much fun for him.
ReplyDeleteNext time you go junkin show us your junk!
Have a great weekend and please visit us.

Hi Penny, Oh I am right there with you being addicted to junkin. So many treasures at Roundtop. I LOVE your little trailer. I want one like that!! Just no room in my yard for it. Love the door with the steps and little window. WOW.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend
Hugs, CM
Penny,
ReplyDeleteThat is so great that you have that little trailer and can just take off. That must be so much fun!! I would be able to travel if we had a trailer.....I see that H likes "junkin" as much as you do and that is also so wonderful to be able to share a passion like that. Those fields are lovely. We do not have that around here. I have always watched the Longest Yard Sale on HGTV and would die at a chance to be able to do something like that. We really don't have Sales and flea markets like that around here. After severe flooding here in the 70's and even more recently, a lot of the antiques and older "junk" is gone because it was all destroyed.
American Pickers did film one of their shows here though, about 15 minutes away from me!! LOL!!
Can't wait to see your front porch decorated. We have had high's again in the 50's only. I may not be planting any of my annuals until Memorial Day at this rate!
Hugs,
Deb
Your pics are awesome--I want to bum a ride with you guys! But Arkansas is a far way from CT!
ReplyDeleteLove what you do with the trailer when it is not in use! Happy Junking! Thank you for sharing this at Rustic Restorations Weekend!
ReplyDeleteAh, with the warmer weather, one does start thinking of exploring. The other year I went to Brimfield which was so much fun. I'd love to go to Round Top.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a part of "Oh, the places I've been!". Looking forward to having you be a regular contributor.

Hi! I'd like to have fun strolling about all those stuff!
ReplyDeleteI have known you through My little inspirations.

When we lived in Germany we went junking often. Only it was truly going through the trash that was put out once every 3 months. We saw everything from complete victorian living room sets, (someone else was standing by it and saying, already taken, they went to get the truck) to books and vacuum cleaners. So much fun, unless you had a cranky owner asking you not to disturb their trash.... Blessings, Debbie
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun. Lately my only junking is at a local thrift store...I'm ready to see a little more of the junky world.
ReplyDeleteI especially loved the photo of the bluebonnets and goats. Wait, sheep? Sheep and goats? Anyway. Made me wish I was there.
Happy hunting! Lynaea @ <a href="http://everydaybloom.com/in-the-pink-apron/
What a fun way to go looking for treasures. I go to Round Top every spring and fall. '-)
ReplyDeleteThis must be so much fun! I'd love to go to some of the big sales!!
ReplyDeleteOh how fun! Your little trailer looks darling! Hugs sweetie! xo

Yes! Junkin is fun! Last year, we went on the 400 mile yard sale, first weekend in June that goes across KY on 68. Then, the first weekend of Aug we went on the 127 from the Ohio line to the end in Alabama somewhere. Is that the Longest yard sale you are talking about? I keep saying I'm not going anymore because I don't need anymore stuff, but just can't help but go. I've got the yard sales posted on my blog. I love getting some great pics on the trips as well. btw, I like the way you "hide" your trailer by decorating it.
ReplyDeleteSo fun, I would love to go to Texas! They seem to have such GREAT opportunities for finding GREAT treasures!
ReplyDeleteThanks sooo much for sharing at Amaze Me Monday!!!
Blessings,
Cindy
I am so excited for "yard sale season" to get underway here in Indiana! We're heading out to one of those multi-state highway sales in a few weeks...can't think of anything more fun!
ReplyDeleteWow, looks like there is tons to see. I would love to check it all out. Thanks for joining Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI love to junk also, looks like a great place to find some treasures. Thanks for sharing at the Cabin:)
ReplyDeleteLove, love your home! One day I hope to do the longest yard sale. It's on my bucket list. hehe
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool. I am a trash picker from birth. It's in my blood :) Reading your post made my heart speed up a bit. Like how you feel when you see a yard sale sign lol! Thanks for sharing at The Gathering Spot. Have a wonderful week :)
ReplyDeleteYou and me, too, Penny!! I can't even begin to start junking until after we move in to our new home. After all, it's a little hard to keep buying when I am having a garage sale to scale down. Selling things at a loss. Oh! the pain of it all! LOL I have been to Round Top but would love to go to the others you mentioned! They're still on my long list of fleas!
ReplyDeleteAwesome sales!! I can't wait to go junkin' this year. It's my mine and my mom's favorite thing to do in the summer. Those stained glass windows in the one picture are so cool too :)
ReplyDeleteI'm addicted to junkin' too! Thanks Penny for sharing your wonderful photos at Simple & Sweet Fridays!
ReplyDeleteJody
I am right with ya on the Junkin' ; )
ReplyDeletewhat a clever disguise for your trailer! I didn't even see it... :)

ReplyDeleteLooks like such a delight! I love junkin too!! :) Happy weekend! xx Holly
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh that looks like fun! I could hang out there for days :)
ReplyDeleteWOW I would be in seventh heaven at one of those markets !
ReplyDeleteI am addicted too so you aren't alone. I seem to have the obsession with chairs and I have a garage full of them ! lol
