I got the bid on this gorgeous silver tea set at the auction a few weeks ago. Some of the auction goers (is that a word???) said it was the deal of the day, and I happily agreed. |
I paid $52,50 for the large tray, teapot, coffee pot, sugar, and creamer......what a deal! |
I set the table with Rosechintz rose patterned dishes that I got at the auction a while back.....I can't find the receipt but I think it was about $25 for a service for 8 and a few serving pieces. |
I've been playing with my photo's a little on Picmonkey. Can you see the decorative border around my picture....do you like it? |
On the other end of the table, I set a chaffing dish on a round silver tray and placed a pink faux fur pumpkin in the glass dish. |
I have been having so much fun making faux fur pumpkins this year.....last fall, sweater pumpkins were "my thang" |
I really like the look that placing my fabric pumpkins have when I put them in a silver bowl.....adds a little extra "trim". |
Here's another photo with the Picmonkey decorative trim around it..... |
Your fall tablescape is absolutely beautiful! Very romantic in every single detail. I adore your pumpkins!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great buy! I love silver. It looks so perfect on your table! Happy Fall! Linda
ReplyDeletePenny, the silver set was the deal of the day. Love it! A few weeks ago I stopped at a yard sale and bought 3 small pieces of silver for $15. She wanted more, but came down. She had quite a few pieces, but I just wanted the tarnished ones to use for Halloween. I used on on my mantle with a pumpkin in it for Fall. Loved it for a few days, but then I found a small brown transfer ware pitcher at a thrift and put it in it instead. lol! It never ends for us decorators. Love your fur pumpkins and the silver! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

ReplyDeleteHi Penny...Your silver tea service is lovely! I've been seeing alot of the fur pumpkins this year. I was wondering how you were going to decorate for Fall with all the Fall colors...but I see what you do. You keep your color theme but just make your pumpkins pink!! Clever! You are so creative. I did a couple of pumpkins and it really is fun. Mine were a lot simpler...and not half as lovely as yours!! I think I've gotten lazy. Everything looks beautiful!!
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteLOVE the silver Tea Set!! I have a 4 piece one too but now since we got rid of the stereo in the DR, I have no where to put it but i am sure i can find somewhere for it. I will be using it in my Halloween decorating.....
