Let's Go to the Auction

It's no secret to anyone that follows my blog that I love to go to auctions!    Saturday there are two big auctions,  and I wish that I could be in two places at one!
Normally the auctioneer will let you come out the day before the auction to do a preview, and that's what H and I did today.   I took some pictures to show you what the auction looks like  but before I show you those,  I want to show you this humongeous junk wreath.    The wreath is probably 20 feet across,  yes I said feet!
This wreath is on the building that is in front of the metal building where the auction will be held.   The wreath has full sized junk wired to it!    See the lantern, wooden wheel,  horse collar, plow......

wooden signs.....
hoes, rakes,  old baby carriage frame, part of a wooden wheel, chicken wire, boots.....

big metal sunflower,  grapevine wreath,  vintage foot scooter....

part of a vintage tricycle, all kinds of junk!

The wreath has clear Christmas lights woven thru it and it is lit up year round in the evening.
The auction will be held in the big metal building behind Country Junction where you see the Roadway trailer.   The open overhead door is where you enter the auction.
Let's go in and look around!
I have my eye on this vintage set of dishes....
Love this old mirror....that's me in the stripey top!

Boxes and boxes of misc.  treasures to be found.    Sometimes the auctioneer will "bundle" several of these boxes together,  There may only be one thing in one box that you want....but you have to take them all!   (and they fine you if you don't take them all with you when you leave)
Love this Gentlemen's wardrobe....
More boxes of misc and tables of treasures.....

Display cabinets,  yard tools,  you name's probably there!

There are several large display cabinets......leather recliners.....the plastic bags on top of the cabinets are full of linens...
It will take most of the day for all of the items to be sold.

I am hoping to get the bid on these gorgeous dishes.....
and I would love to bring this tea set home too!
The owner of Joe's Boot Shop and Country Junction is the grandson of one of my friends.     They sell boots and all kinds of western wear at the boot shop.     Country Junction has a big line of  Prairie style furniture,  accessories,  Yankee Candles,  and they also sell the metal animals that you can see on the front porch.
Yeeeeehawwww......let's go to the auction!
