I brought this gorgeous set of dishes home with me from the auction Saturday and couldn't wait to do a tablescape with them! |
There were several serving pieces in the set....here is the covered vegetable dish and a large serving platter.... |
Before I show you the rest of the dishes, I wanted you to see this pretty grey pumpkin that I got at the "patch". I really like all the different colors of pumpkins you can purchase now. |
OK....back to the dishes! I got a service for 8......6 pieces in each place setting.....made in Japan by Harmony House....and the pattern is called Wembley |
On the left is the photo of the dishes when they were at the auction. On the right is the photo of the dishes safe at home! I was doing a happy dance when I got the bid at $40. |
I also got the bid on some pretty silverware. They are made by Sheffield, but I couldn't ever find the pattern name. |
I have the additional pieces of china and silverware displayed on the pass thru between the kitchen and dining/family room.... |
I got a setting for 6 plus all these serving pieces. |
That is a gorgeous set of dishes, Penny. What a buy for $40!!! You find the best stuff!!! xo Diana

ReplyDeleteHi, Penny! You really got a great buy on the dishes! $40 is a small price to pay for such beauty! That's less than $1 per piece!!!!!!! Oh, wait...you got some serving pieces with it, too, right? So that's even LESS!!! Wow! You really had cause to do the Happy Dance!!! The silverware is gorgeous, too. I really like the initial on the handle.

That's one classy spider in the sugar bowl. This is probably strange, but I love the slender tines on the forks. My rule is a good fork must have pretty tines. Thank you for sharing at Make It Monday.
