Silver and Gold Christmas Decor

I love the new silver and gold theme that I chose for the entry this year!    Last year I chose a Nutcracker theme for the entry, so this is quite a change......what will I do with all the Nutcrackers that I have....can't  wait to show you what I have in mind for them.
I have three walls in the entry that I love to decorate for Christmas.   This wall has a big cabinet that has tons of room to display some of the Christmas decor that I have amassed over the years.

This is the wall that is across from the cabinet.    I decorated it a couple of days ago and if you missed that post,  here is the link to it......http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2014/11/decorating-with-silver-and-gold-for.html

I have a wreath on each side of the cabinet.   This is one of my favorite wreaths and I know you have seen it many times, so I hope you are not tired of it.   I added a Santa head to it for the holidays and also a pearl initial ....my first and last name begin with P so it does double duty!
I made this wreath about 30 years ago and it is still one of my favorites.   I had it hanging in the bedroom but decided to move it here for the holidays.   I took out the heart that was above the roses and put a Santa head in its place.
I filled the cabinet with gold and silver tea pots, sugar & creamers,  and Santa heads.
Of course,  I had to Pennyfy my vignettes with a few touches of pink...lol!
This gold and silver Mark Roberts fairy was a perfect addition to my gold and silver theme.   He is the "Let it Snow" fairy.
I started collecting Santa heads a long time ago and the one in the left top is one of the first ones that I bought.
The Santa head on the right is one of the biggest ones in my collection.

I should have got on the step stool and took some close ups of the top shelf...but I didn't....lol!    I finished off the cabinet by hanging a silver glittery deer head on the front of it.   He looked kind of plain hanging there all alone,  so I gave him a bow tie.   The bow tie is a metal basket filled with dried pink rose buds.
I took a before photo of the cabinet before I started ....the shelves were in quite a mess!   I had "picked" some of the shelves for other vignettes and then I started using the shelves for stuff that I didn't know what to do with .....does anyone else ever do that?????    After I found new homes for all the stuff on the shelves,   H installed new can lighting.   What a difference ....I love my new lighting ...thank you H.   Have you ever wondered why I call him H?   It's short for Howard!       I  also hung a lace drape around the bottom of the cabinet for a change.
I have started decorating the last wall in the entry and will do a post on it soon.    Have a wonderful week...

  5. I think I may have told you, but I call my husband PH and it's short for Patient Husband..but his name is Howard.
You are well on your way to the Christmas season. I've never enjoyed anything as much as decorating. I have lots of silver..not so much gold and daughters that love it as much as I do...so..lots of it has walked out the front door..

  7. Penny, you really have got a jump on things. I don't start mine until after Thanksgiving. Our daughter is moving out of the basement and I may give it a good cleaning and start doing a little down there. Your entry is simply stunning! There's nothing quite like Silver and Gold! Thanks for sharing with SYc.
