We only went to a few yard sales on Saturday, so I don't have much to show you this week. But......what I do have is one of my best finds ever! |
I used part of the bedskirt to make my mantle cover.....two valances made the table runner and chair backs.....the comforter made seat pads for these two gliders. |
Before.................................................................After |
Before .........................................................After |
Before fabric............................................................After fabric |
There are two wicker settee's on this end of the porch...... |
Before..................................................................After |
The white rocker in the back ground is where I always sit....there is a similar one by it that H always sits in. |
Our daughter isn't going to use the roll away that I gave her a long time ago....so I brought it home. I plan to repurpose it somehow..... |

Well, you certainly made a $5 purchase cover a lot of 'places'! Good for you! Enjoy the new look! Blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteI love the black , pink and white color scheme!! It reminds me of my Powder Room!! You really got your $5.00 worth out of all that linen!! I envy you that you can keep that linen outside. We have been getting at least a shower every day and it seems that my cushions out on the front porch are always wet!! The humidity here is enough to cut with a knife and it was in the 90's yesterday, confining me to the inside of the house with the air conditioning blaring.....
8 more days to Part Time!!
Hugs,
Deb
Good Morning Penny
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so pretty. You are so talented, being able to cut something up and sew it into whatever you want*** thats amazing to me. It all looks so so pretty.

Great post, I love the contrast: reminds me of my Interior Decorating professor---she was old school all the way, but I have used this advice ever since 1970~~"Something dark, something light, something dull, something bright."~~ And you have just demonstrated how well this works with this post.
ReplyDeleteAnd sidenote: I never noticed the pink cabinet on the porch before, and now it pops out.
What a nice job you did! It's always so nice to have a bit of a change, it makes everything look new.
ReplyDeleteGreat reuse of all that fabric! Sheets are the only fabric that I use when redecorating the cushions in my Screened Room. Love that they don't shrink since I wash them so often. Great change Penny!
ReplyDeleteSweet, I love the dark fabric and your clever use on the chairs. Nicest makeover for little money!
ReplyDeleteVery nice !
ReplyDeleteYou are a blessed and talented lady. You have really been blessed with some beautiful trees in your yard! Great results with repurposing that bedding! Thanks for sharing with us at Merry Monday.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a beautiful inspiration, dear Penny. You have created a lovely place to sit and relax. Thanks for sharing with Roses of Inspiration. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI really love everything!!!!

ReplyDeleteThanks for joining Cooking and Crafting with J & J!
I adore your porch and wish I had one like it. I love how you turned a garage sale find into so many lovely things. Now if you could come help me that would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteHello Penny - absolutely exquisite as always - I will be featuring your post in this week's A Return to Loveliness,
ReplyDeleteKathy
To say that your front porch is lovely would be a complete understatement. If you ask me, it could pass for a small wedding venue. Well done with this project, and I'm looking forward to your planned improvements!
