Rush, rush, rush to some garage sales early this morning so we could go to the auction at 10:30. Here are my treasures! |
Sweet little dress for one of Kyleigh's bigger dolls.... |
I saw this chair at a yard sale and wasn't sure what was included for $7.....just the chair.....the slip cover.....the two pillows laying in it.... |
So, I went over to the girl that was having the sale and said " I'm interested in buying that slip cover" |
She said " you don't want the chair?....you just want to buy the slip cover? " It was all only $7!!!! I couldn't load it in the car quick enough! |
Our daughter is getting married in Oct. and her colors are teal and burlap. I'm sure I can use these big runners of burlap somewhere. |
I bought this big birdcage at the auction for $2.50....no one else wanted it because the tray was gone. I will use it like a cloche. |
This is the coolest thingamajiggy to open wine.....$10 |
I will paint this gold frame white.....the candle sticks are perfect for Halloween.....and I loved the poodle liquor bottle. |

You hit pay dirt, Penny! Love the little dress, that bird cage is amazing, and the chair/cover/pillow is awesome! Great junking day for you! Blessings, Cindy

I would definitely have picked up that birdhouse for use in my garden!
ReplyDeleteInteresting, this is the first time I have heard of burlap as a wedding color.
ReplyDeleteWhat great finds! My parakeets would think they had "moved on up" with a birdcage like that!
ReplyDeleteGrab it and run! Lol Does that doggie have the name Tiffany in the heart? If it does, I have the same one! Love it all! You will have to share ideas you have planned for the Wedding!
ReplyDeleteLove all of your finds this week. I didn't find anything as exciting as your chair but did find some fun smalls... a cider pitcher with pink roses, a little dish with a cool red lobster, 2 neat large old baskets- lots of stuff for crafting and gifts. An adorable large carousel horse painted in the most awful colors that I wanted to repaint and fru fru with pink roses- went back to get it another day so hb wouldn't be with me and ask why do you want that ugly thing, and guess what- he loves it As (choke) is and won't let me paint it. It is now on the back top shelf of an office bookcase! Go figure!
ReplyDeleteoh, forgot- love, love, love the dress!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat deals Penny! I LOVE that bird cage, and what a great deal with the chair and covers!!
ReplyDeleteOoo what great finds! I love the wine opener and the bird cage the most... this reminds me I need to do more yard saling because the season is over here.
ReplyDeleteVisiting from the Rustic and Refined Link Up.
You find the most interesting and lovely things at garage sales, how fun. That tractor is too funny, wonder what made them paint it
ReplyDeleteWhat a sucessful morning of garage sales! Good find of burlap. Collecting early and collecting those craft store coupons to use really cut costs. Happy Tuesday! Linda
ReplyDeleteThat wine opener is so cool! What a fun find.

Excellent sale finds! I would have totally snatched up that birdcage to re-purpose as well! Thanks for linking up at Merry Monday!
ReplyDelete$7? Wow, what a bargain! It looks like it was meant for your home Penny. I have a giant birdcage in the garden over a small Mock Orange bush. It has grown up through it now. But I'll probably move it somewhere else next Spring. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
