Nautical Wreath

I made a nautical wreath for the guest bath this morning......

I love the elegant look of my seaside wreath.....

You may be surprised at what I used to make my wreath.....

I started with a Christmas wreath that I bought 75% off...in fact....all the items I used in my wreath were 75% off.     In the second photo,  you can see how I cut off all the Christmas balls.   The third photo is my finished wreath!

Here is the assortment of ornaments that I used.   Some came from Dillard's and some were bought at At Home.   They were 1-2 dollars each so my nautical wreath was very inexpensive.     The Christmas wreath was $50 marked down to $12.50 at At Home.

I didn't use all the ornaments in the wreath.

I hung one of the shell lobsters on my towel candelabra......

The other one went in a crystal bowl with some decorative hand towels

Do you like the liquor bottle fish that I added to the other crystal bowl?

H and I have been working in the garage trying to get it back in shape and I found a box of fish liquor bottles that I bought at the auction and had forgot about them....lol!

They were in the original box that was dated 1974.

I put some of them in the guest bath .......

The rest went to the master bath which is also done in a nautical theme.

I bought a few red Christmas ornaments on sale too and plan to use them in a Valentine wreath that I hope to get made soon.    I think wreaths are probably my favorite thing to make!

  5. Penny,
Very pretty!!I used to do a lot of nautical decor when we went to the shore every year on vacation. I have boxes of shells that my neighbor , who lived in Miami for the WInters, had picked off the beach. I was thinking of doing a beach tree after I take down my patriotic decoratons in July....

    Deb
