I made a new ruffled skirt for the sofa and love seat from a queen size dust ruffle. I recovered the sofa cushions with a pale blue sheet. I took the white crocheted pillow shams off the pillows on each end of the sofa and replaced them with floral pink and blue shams.
I took down the dried heart wreath and hung a simple dream catcher in it's place until I am ready to hang an Easter wreath. The swan on the coffee table found a new home in the dining room and I just put a spray of roses in it's place until I unpack some of my Easter decor. |
Could you please tell me the name on the fabrics of the BEFORE photo on sofa.

I don't know how you do it, Penny! Either way is sweet..but I have to say the dust ruffle around the sofa is lovely! You think of ways to do things that I would never think of. :) Everything always turns out so cozy..one could just drift down and curl up on that sofa for a nap..and make sure they straighten the pillow when they get up.
ReplyDeleteSeems I'm always strightening my pillows!
looks awesome love the sofa
ReplyDeleteI love the makeover...but I loved the Before too! Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteIt's all just lovely and so cozy Penny. YOu do have such a talent for making things look so cozy and comfy. I'd have never realized you had a cover over your tv but that's so smart. Ours sits out for all to see and now it's bigger as we got new tv before Christmas. Why we needed a 50" tv in our small living room have no idea but it is nice. I can hear tv now as hubs also bought a sound bar or whatever they're called. Most of time before could never hear the blasted tv.
ReplyDeleteI'm one that messes up pillows at our house as I lie/sit on couch all the time. Have to keep my feet up for the swelling. Like to change pillow covers often. Love that bed skirt used for your couches, brilliant, looks so pretty in your room also.
Hope you had wonderful Valentines day
Very romantic makeover! The fabrics of the covers are so lovely. Happy S. Valentine' s day

Penny,
ReplyDeleteLove the colors!! So pretty and the ruffled dust ruffle is so pretty!! I am so glad that blue and pink are back in style again! They are such a soothing combination!!
Hugs,
Deb
I do love your soft colours, Penny. Those roses on the coffee table are gorgeous although I do love your swan. I guess my French moire pink chairs would be back in style again but they have been relegated to other rooms to make way for the new recliners. Oh well, one must make do with what they have. The dust ruffle you used was a wonderful idea. Thanks for sharing with us.

I'd curl up with those pillows and lay on that sofa too! I love the regular pillows. Your small changes made a big difference. So glad you share with us at Merry Monday. I'm always inspired after I visit your gorgeous home.
