I folded the long stems up to do my design on the piano, but I can unfold the stem and "pot" them later for a different look.. |
I grouped my big flowers with some big blingy eggs and bunnies.... |
I made this big hydrangea with some flowers I had on hand.....just floral taped the stems all together. |
I think this big pink rose is my favorite..... |
Although I really like this big daisy! |
And I do like white roses too....glad I don't have to pick a favorite! |
I always manage to find a place for the glittery Easter banner that I have had for years.... |
Those are BIG and BEAUTIFUL, Penny. I was looking at them in passing the other day. It is fun to see the big ones this year. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThe big flowers are new to me. I have never seem them before even on all the blogs I look at.They are beautiful . I know you will enjoy using them all this summer (I would). I have a question . Why don't you use more pictures or other thing on your walls. You do have some things on your walls but not like you have on your tables. I know you run into a lot of beautiful pictures. That is a problem for me. I use to many pictures. They are all so pretty I don't know where & how to stop using so many of them. Thanks for your advice.
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying the bunnies also. I'm thinking that I may make a space for those that don't look particularly "Easterish"so that they can be enjoyed through the year. Love your big flowers and the way you incorporated them so they don't overwhelm the space.
ReplyDeleteI especially love the hydrangeas and peonies...really gorgeous. Need a respite from the dust and painting, may go down to the shop and see what I have to play with.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration, Sandi
In all my life I have never ever seen a home with so much to display and have it done to perfection. Few would be able to carry off so much in so lovely a way.! You just make me smile!!! I use those BIG flowers too and I think they are just stunning.

ReplyDeleteThe top of the piano is perfection, Penny! How many hours does it take you to decorate each season? You must have a huge storage area for everything.

I've been noticing more and more silk floral decor lately and I like it. I took a class many moons ago on silk flower arranging. Maybe I'll get to benefit from it again. Love your Easter mantle! Thanks for partying with us at Merry Monday. I shared this post on my Twitter.

ReplyDeleteArtificial flowers are so much improved, and they are very handy to have on hand when you need flowers and don't have the real thing!
ReplyDeleteAll of your vignettes are simply beautiful.
