Fan Blade and Bedpost Dragonflies

We have some new yard art flying around in the front yard........lol!

These fun Dragonflies are made from old 4 poster bed posts and ceiling fan blades....

I added a lamp shade holder as their antenna and painted the fan blade wings pink.    I also added a few touches of white to the body and left the rest the original gold color.

H hung them from the trees with strong wire......

I have one hung from the tree in the far left of the photo and the second one is up in the trees on the right side of the photo......

In the first photo you can see how they were originally hung on  bedsprings at a cute shop named Antique to Boutique.   If you are ever in Amarillo Texas please stop by the shop and say 'howdy" to Pat Elder.

There are tons of yard sales already being advertised in the paper for tomorrow and Saturday....hope to find lots of treasures!
