Even though this is not the usual tablescape you see me create, I hope you will enjoy it! |
I used the existing center piece that I made a few weeks ago. I took out the Halloween items and filled in the blank areas with some copper leaves, metallic pumpkins, and big acorn ornaments. |
I decided to use china that has touches of fall color as well as the pink that I love so much |
Ready for a tour around the table? |
I bought my fox placemats at Walmart last year. The first course of my dinner will be soup served in a double handled tea cup. |
If you are serving a hearty soup as the main course, consider repurposing a gravy boat for a soup bowl. |
Dessert will be pie and coffee. |
I have had my candle pieces of pie for more than 15 years..... |
The apple slice of pie looks yummy doesn't it! |
I couldn't resist giving my little foxes a collar. |
I have used my tiered stand centerpiece in three different ways so far, and plan to use it again and again |
I hope you enjoyed my Foxy Fall Tablescape! Please visit my side bar to see "Where I Party" and stop by and visit a few of these great blogs! |
like the fox best of your tablescapes so far
ReplyDeleteVery fun. Your china is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThis is simply charming, Penny---the very essence of Fall meets gracious entertaining. And I was so wrapped up in all the little foxes and all that gorgeous china (the cup IS for soup---in those lovely elaborate sets of days ago, the flat wide bowl was for heavy soups, and the dainty double-handled one for clear light soups like consomme and boullion. And even the most rigidly-mannered guests were perfectly free to lift the bowl by its elegant handles and sip the soup). You're very fortunate to have such a complete collection---those exquisite fragile pieces haven't survived the years well in most cases.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely delightful. And I got so carried away with all the sweet details (that little vixen with the jeweled collar) that i only noticed in the last picture that the placemats had foxes, as well. You SLY artist, you--no detail overlooked.

Penny, your foxy table is adorable. I would have been tempted to get those little guys as well. I have a fondness for foxes. We live near a creek, and fox families can be seen on occasion in our neighborhood.

Very cute table setting. The foxes add a fun and very fall like feel. Looks great, as your designs always do.
ReplyDeleteFantastic tablescape! Looks cute & inviting!
ReplyDeleteGosh Penny, you are very successful at making me not grimace at pink and mauve. Just not my colors, but you always seem to put a magical spin on it...and make your 'scapes' gorgeous. Love the soft tones and the fall works well. Great Looks, Sandi
