TADA!!! |
Then I got busy planting my new flower bed....... |
I added several yard ornaments. like this sweet dragonfly...... |
I love these jeweled dragonflies, they add bling to the garden. |
I added some rocks in blank spots in the "bed". |
Can you spot my turtle hiding in the Vinca? I also added a few faux flowers in spots that needed "just a little something more" |
I tied a umbrella to the headboard and put out a chair for me to sit in! |
Shower curtain barn doors and shower curtain flag...... |
Sorry H, there was only room for one chair.....for me....lol! Well, maybe I'll let you sit in it sometimes! |
Cute, I remember as a kid that a neighbor had a garden "bed" made from an old metal bed.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Did you make the umbrella out of petticoats? Does it rain there?
ReplyDeleteTrue garden "beds"!! Too cute....

Now those are real flower beds.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful garden you have, Penny! I love what you and H did here - that's such a clever way to repurpose an old bed. Thank you so much for sharing, and for being a part of Hearth and Soul.

ReplyDeleteYour flower bed looks great and your garden is amazing! Your style is unique and I'm sure you enjoy the garden a lot. By the way, I haven't been able to find your turtle...
ReplyDeleteWhat in the world do you do when it rains? Does all of that stuff stay out year round, because I cannot image that items wouldn't need to be constantly touched up w/paint, and what have you.
ReplyDeleteI love your creativity, and I love the garden "bed". I always look forward to your posts so I see your next creation.
ReplyDeleteCute idea! How funny...I just repurposed an old twin bed as well. Not nearly as creative as your idea though.
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteI am playing catch up. I had major dental work done and I am a bit under the weather still. I love all your "Flower Beds"!!! I thought of doing something like this when we got rid of the single bed in the Sitting room but our yard is just too small. I love those jeweled dragon flies.
Hugs,
Debbie
