Twelve Day's of Christmas Tablescape

I created my first Christmas tablescape of the season today.......

The inspiration for my Twelve Days of Christmas tablescape was some pretty dishes that I found at Walmart the other day.

I decided to make the seven swans a swimmin' day the theme for the centerpiece on my table.     I put the pretty swan I've had for a while on a silver platter ......tucked in some "snow" around my swan .........and placed a few pinkish / lavenderish  ornaments on the snow.    Simple.....but elegant

The plates have a thin gold rim around them and lovely colorful graphics.....

I used some of the paper swan placemats that you've seen me use several times.

I had fun folding some napkins into the shape of Christmas tree's.

You can lay your tree napkins flat......

Or you can fluff them a bit and they will stand up......

I can't decide if I like my napkin tree's better laying or standing

You can see the kitchen thru the pass thru.......

While I am creating my Christmas tablescape,   H is in the kitchen making Cracker candy.

I have the recipe on my Pinterest board.....https://www.pinterest.com/penny2005/christmas/

I found the instructions to make my Christmas tree napkins here......http://www.housebeautiful.co.uk/decorate/display/tips/a1081/napkin-folding-christmas/

In addition to my Christmas tree napkins,    I planted a bottle brush tree in a water glass and placed one at each place setting.

Merry Christmas!

  2. Here's what I like, Penny: The tree napkins laying down, the white table and chairs with the lacy - crocheted? - table cloth, the swan and the Christmas plates and the big fern on the sideboard! All lovely.
I would tuck a tiny bit of red somewhere, though, just for shock value! You could kind of hide it and hold a contest to see which reader could find it first! Then maybe a tree bauble for a prize! Just for fun.

I hope your Christmas is filled with Joy and Laughter and all the special things you most love about the season!

  4. I thought of you yesterday when I was in Walgreens. The girls had set up a beautiful display for the brand of make up, lotions, soaps... Soap and Glory. It's pink. I thought, oh Penny would be in pink heaven right now.
