Decorating with Succulents

Succulents are so popular right now,    but I wondered if they would work with my style of decorating.    I like to mix styles.....    romantic,  farmhouse, shabby chic,  cottage........so,  why not add a few succulents in the mix!

I chose a white enamel basket to create a succulent design for the three tiered DP table in the family dining room.

I filled the bottom of the basket with small succulents.......

To add a romantic touch to my succulent design,    I placed two white rose bouquets in the center.     I mixed small succulents in the rose bouquets.

I finished up my design by adding some larger succulents.

I decorated the display unit in the corner of the room with some succulent touches to tie everything together.

On the first shelf,    I have a shabby chic container full of ferns.     Then,  I repurposed  a flatware chicken wire carousel by filling  the compartments with a chick in a nest and a potted plant.    And finally,   a small succulent plant with a succulent  print  on a clip in it.

The second shelf has a hand painted coffee pot.......a shabby chic container of succulents and grass......and  a small potted succulent with a print.

I went around the dining room adding touches of succulents......

On the pass thru,   I added two Starbuck jars filled with boxwood from the yard.

I removed the Starbuck logo's and glued on succulent prints.

Update on the pass thru
Before...........................................................................After

I did a post on the pass thru a few days ago,  but I've tweaked it in the mean time!

I added a succulent print to the existing vignette on the top of the metal serving cart.

I printed off three prints and couldn't decide which one I liked the best.......

I loved all three.........

but,   I think the succulent wreath is my favorite.

I used some succulents in the centerpiece on the table

I filled the bottom of the nest with succulents before I added the pink eggs,  ribbon,  and rose.

Are you decorating with succulents?
I would love to hear how you've incorporated them into your decorating style!

I would love to be able to fix my house like that but living in the country and farming and ranching it wouldn't stay pretty for very long haha. Thanks for joining us at bloggers pit stop.
