Let's Stay Home Summer Mantel

Since H and I are planning to have a staycation this summer,    I thought creating a Let's Stay Home summer mantel would be a great idea.

Since we're empty nesters,   we like to do most of our traveling in the spring and fall when it's not so hot.....or cold.

I found my white enamel Let's stay home sign at Hobby Lobby recently and thought it would be perfect as the centerpiece for my summer mantel.

I looked thru my Pinterest Print It board and found a black and white check banner and some letters with pretty roses on them to spell out summer.

I hung a rose garland above my summer banner

To finish off my summer mantel,     I put a couple of white enamel plates on easels.......

I propped pictures of rose cottages on the enamel plates to carry on with my stay home theme......

Here's the print on the other side........

I put milk glass vases filled with roses on each side of my enamel plates.

I continued my theme on the  photo collages that hang on each side of the fireplace.

I have prints of sweet rose cottages clipped in the collage frames.

I have Let's Stay Home signs in the center frame of the collages.

Would love to live in a rose covered cottage on the beach to have a staycation in!

The faux doors behind the mantel have a little surprise at the bottom......

I put a metal welcome sign in front of the doors......
