Watermelon Tablescape

My favorite place to eat is right here in my own backyard!

Forget those noisy restaurants.......just set me up at table under a big shade tree

My 'GO TO' table is non other than the simple card table.      It's light weight.....easy to set up.....and easy to take down

For my dinner party this evening,    I shopped the yard and picked out these 4 sweet white chairs.

I'm serving some watermelon pina coladas later,   so I scooped out my little watermelon and used the "skeleton" as the container for the table's centerpiece.

I strolled around the yard and cut whatever flowers caught my eye.......

I am serving dinner on watermelon plates......

I found the plates and watermelon place mats at Home Goods......and you may remember the napkins from a lemon tablescape I created a few weeks ago on the front porch.

H sprayed the yard down so we won't have any problem with bugs this evening......

I always enjoy your visits so much,    please come back again soon!

  2. Good morning, How I love your backyard. I tried to find your lemon plates at our Dollar Tree and not one plate. I really wanted those plates. Guess I'll have to watch ebay. I do like the watermelon vase. Summer is such a wonderful time to enjoy our yards and the out doors. We have gone from cold to hot this year in Northern Colorado. We did not have a Spring and that was so disappointing as I love Spring. Not as many flowers this year either. I still have some I adore, my geraniums and hibiscus.
    Thanks for always sharing.

  3. AW, so cute. My round card table finally died---used for too many art shows over the years. Gorgeous setting, thank goodness for trees!

  5. Penny,
What a charming setting to sit and enjoy a bite to eat on a lovely Summer day...I am with you in not liking to go to restaurants...Too many people all talking too loud and too crowded. That is why we usually order out and celebrate at home in a nice quiet private setting...
    Hugs,

  6. This is a much better atmosphere than any restaurants I know of. The best part is you get home cooked food, fresh air, and beautiful scenery just outside your home. I love it!
