Cozy Christmas Master Bedroom

Since we changed from daylight savings time a few weeks ago,     it's dark at 5 o'clock in the evening.      That makes my body think it's time to go to bed around 8......is that happening to anyone else?

I've been fighting the urge to crawl into my warm cozy bed so early,    but then I thought   "why not?"

So,   the last few nights H and I have been slipping off to bed early.....we read....or watch a little TV......talk about the events of the day or what we plan to do tomorrow.

I have never bought Christmas bedding before.....imagine that!!!!......and this year I found a super soft set of red & cream stripped Christmas sheets at Burlington.     They were less than $20 for a queen set that included 4 pillow cases!

I tell ya.....this bed looks pretty inviting about 8 or 9 in the evening....lol!

I hung some mistletoe across the headboard....just in case H might want a little kiss!.

During the day the sun floods thru the window and makes the little crystals on the mistletoe sparkle......

Since you're here,   would you like a tour of my cozy Christmas bedroom?

As you come in the door,    look to the left and you will see the chesser  ( that's a chest of drawers /  dresser)

I have a sweet Christmas vignette on the top of the chesser.    This piece of the chesser can be removed to make it just a chest of drawers.

Here's  a Christmas tree lot filled with Market Fresh Tree's......

As you come in the door,   if you look to your right this is what you'll see.......

I have a Christmas vignette on the top of the vintage radio

Don't you just love her pink ear muffs and scarf?

Next to the radio is the door to the walk in closet.   Then you'll see a little reading nook in the corner of the bedroom.

We have the TV hung on the wall above the reading nook.     We can see the TV  perfect when we're in bed

I have more Christmas vignettes on the tiered table next to the reading nook.....

I have done some switching around since you were last here......there used to be a big trunk on this wall filled with extra pillows....it moved to the garage.    This piece that replaced it was on the left side of the bed.    It will remain here after Christmas and I will put something new on the side of the bed.    Right now I have a tiered table that I borrowed from the guest bedroom that will go back in there after Christmas.

I've already shared the post showing details on how the fireplace came together for Christmas.    Here's a link to that post in case you missed it......http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2019/11/buffalo-check-christmas-mantel.html

The Cozy Christmas bedroom is finished and ready for the holidays.     Now...... here I am sitting in my chair staring at the bathroom still decorated for fall.    Guess I better get busy!

  2. So inviting, Penny. You inspire me daily, although I don't have the space do as much as I would like. Just perusing your things puts me in the mood for "pretty."

  3. Well, Miss Penny, When I thought you had done your best; you come up with something more wonderful and over the top!!!!!!! Oh, the sweet little ewe with pink scarf and earmuffs.
Where on earth did you find her. I really, really, really, want one too. What is her little skirt made out of? I love the sheets too. I may have to treat myself to some Christmas sheets.
Oh, this ridiculous time changing. I fill like coal miner this time of the year. My cat make me laugh as he insists on going to bed when it gets dark. If I don't put him to bed he jumps on everything he can knock on the floor. He has a crate in my walk in close that he goes to and doesn't bother anything. He really doesn't like it getting dark early either. I feel exhausted with so much dark.
Your blog perks me up so much. Oh, how I love to get your posts.
    Thank you so much.

  12. Penny,
Your bedroom looks so inviting!! Love the bedding....I haven't gotten into that yet but I am not even into my first year of not having to work nights and sleeping at different hours of the day so who knows.....I am still getting used to sleeping all night..I still only sleep for about 6 hours but I can now do so without having to take a Tylenol PM
    Hugs,
