Spring Mantel

I know we will still have a few cold days here in Eastern New Mexico........but for the next 10 days the weatherman says the temps will be in the mid 60's so I'm just going to enjoy spending time in the yard    The early mornings are still cool,  so I stayed inside and decorated the mantel in the family room for Easter yesterday.

I like to come up with a theme before I start most of my designs and the theme for the spring mantel this year is "Wild Rabbit Farms"

I decided to use all white rabbits for my wild rabbit farm.....

I've had this cute couple for as long as I can remember and they have made an appearance in my spring decorating every year.

I dug out some bunnies that I haven't used in several years for my rabbit farm.......

I also have a few that are new additions to my ever growing bunny collection......

These two sweet babies are new.....they were in the new spring isle at Hobby Lobby.

This bunny and the one just like it on the other side of the barn doors are some of my oldest bunnies and haven't made an appearance in several years.

I usually made a new banner to hang across the mantel for Easter.     I started my design by hanging a garland that I purchased at TJ Maxx .....it is just a plain garland with black and white checked eggs on it.     Then I printed some bunnies and spring clip art that I found on Pinterest to fill in the spaces between my eggs.

I scattered more of my bunny collection around the family room to add even more touches of spring.

I put out one bunny pillow,   but I will still add a few more to the sofa when I get a chance to go shopping in the studio...lol!

I always enjoy your visits so much......please come back again soon!

  1. Lovely! And so springy! But my burning question is... did you paint your own clothespins pink or did you find them somewhere???

  2. This post with all your spring pretties makes me long for warmer weather. You have the kind of bunnies I like, not the ones in my garden, munching away. Amazon has a ton a pretty little craft clothespins too. Enjoy your 60 degree days...it's only 17 here...

  4. So cute. Where did you get the pink barn fabric for the chair? I've noticed the chair changes a lot. What is your secret to covering it so well it looks permanent?
