Fall-oween-mas

I've been MIA for several weeks and it's time to get back to work!    I've had some health issues that hopefully are behind me....I'm still not 100%  but I am thankful to be better than I was.
Decorating  our home for Christmas doesn't happen over night and I am at the Fall-oween-mas stage now...lol!    There is still fall and Halloween up in places and I've bought a couple of new Christmas pieces that are just scattered around the house for now.    I'm not ready to decorate for Christmas yet,  but I don't want to carry them out to the Christmas storage shed in the back yard.

The sun room is right off the family room and since I don't have any window coverings in there,  I have a drape that I draw at night across the opening between the two rooms.

I can easily switch out the drape and I decided to put up a buffalo check one for change.

I had recently ordered a Christmas drape from Amazon and I layered it over the buffalo check one.   I like the way you can still see the checks thru the Christmas drape.

The drape has all my favorite Christmas Rules written on it.

I sewed a country Farmhouse ruffle to the bottom of my Christmas Rule drape to make it the same length as the buffalo check drape.
I bought a new Christmas pic and lamb pillow that I have propped up against the TV armoire for now.     I'm not sure where or even what room they will go in yet,   but I love them so they will for sure find a place!

I bought this Farmhouse Christmas fabric at Hobby Lobby a couple of weeks ago.    I'm thinking I will use it in the kitchen ....but who knows.....I might change my mind!

I still have my fall pumpkins out and the mantel is still decorated in a fall theme.......

H brought in my Haunted Farmhouse sign and I planned to use it in my Halloween decor on the front porch.    I haven't felt up to decorating the porch this year.   so my sign found a home on the piano.

Fall-oween-mas......who says you can only decorate for one season or holiday at a time!

  1. I like the Christmas drape. I too love bare windows, with no curtains...but at night I like to know others are not able to look in. Your home is always so pretty. I hope and pray you are better each new day. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

We finally got a big snow storm and help with putting down the fires. So many have lost so much. I am grateful for each day. We had brown outs where we could not see across the street and it was raining ash. God does bring us to our knees to let us know he is always in control. God bless America and God bless your dear family.
