Winter Kitchen & Happy New Year

I can't think of a better way to welcome in the New Year than with a fresh Farmhouse Winter Kitchen.

I began my tranformation in the kitchen from Christmas to Winter by packing away all the Santa's and red Christmas decor.
Then,   I deep cleaned all the counters, backsplash,  cabinets, stove, oven and floors.   Lots of cooking went on from Thanksgivng thru Christmas in the kitchen and it really needed a deep clening to start the new year off right!

Now,   let me take you on a tour of my winter kitchen.....

I took down my Christmas kitchen curtains and replaced them with ones I made using Farmhouse fabric that I found at Hobby Lobby.

I created vignettes on the counters using wintery decor such as a whimsical metal barn on a sleigh....

a winter scene with cows walking thru the snow......

Farm animals with winter trapper hats .......

I co ordinated the all the counters with similar winter decor.....

I had depleted my stash of winter decor by the time I came to the vintage door corner shelving unit,   so I just decorated it with Farmhouse stuff....lol!

And for the final touch in my winter kitchen ......I hung my new 2021 kitchen towel

Happy New Year!

  7. Oh now I need to go and find some of that fabric with the advertising graphics on it. I bought some of the fabric which just has the farm animals with flower crowns on them. But I need to get some of it with the advertising on it! So pretty!!!!

  14. Love your decor...especailly the curtains. Had to smile at the 2021 calendar...I have given one of those to my sister each year since 1963 !!! She had just married and I was 8 years old and then those calendars were 99 cents in Woolworths. She now has 57 of them...because of Covid we did not see each other, but she texted me a photo of the new one hanging in her kitchen. Your calendar is perfect in your beautiful kitchen!! Happy New Year!
