Penny's Vintage Home: Neighborhood Yard Sale

There is no doubt that I'm a yard sale junky....I love all yard sales, estate sales, auctions..., but my favorite of all yard sales is the one that is held annually in a little neighborhood of retired ladies and a few gentlemen! There are about 50 residents in the neighborhood and almost all of them participate in the sale. We went over there Saturday and I was not disappointed!

I loved this moire covered box for $3...

The little lady that had this gorgeous bowl told me that it was a gift another resident had brought her back from a trip. She didn't have any of her items marked so I had to ask her how much....she said " well....I would have to have $5 ...she was so cute!

A beautiful sheer spring table cloth....$1....

This pretty floral serving bowl was $2. One of the ladies was selling a lot of her frog collection. I don't normally buy frogs, but I fell in love with this little $1 ballerina and her big green vintage brooch....

This sweet little frog couple was .25 each..............................and the sandwich bag of frog jewelry was also .25

$1.50 for the sweet bear...love her bonnet! I bought Kyleigh the butterfly purse for $1. The 4 aqua chenille placemats were $3.

I don't normally buy jewelry, but the little lady with the frogs had a gallon zip lock bag full of jewelry for $3. The pieces on the left are ones that will be put in my personal collection of vintage jewelry.....the tin bucket ($1) on the right contains what was left in the bag (Kyleigh will have fun playing with those)

The vintage table cloth was $1, the watermelon tea pot was $3, and I just realized that I didn't show you the big bunny on the far right of the photo..... $2 (you can see him pretty good in the first photo on this post)
There is a big auction this week end that we are planning to go to....it's ifsy whether we will go or not because we have Kyleigh this Saturday and she hates auctions!

Penny, some great finds there - of the vintage jewelry you're keeping, that blue rhinestone necklace with navettes looks like it could be Weiss - did you look for a mark? Nice!

Penny- You found some really good buys. That bunny was probably about $25 when it was purchased. I bought one for each of my "girls". That big dish is beautiful, too. Uh-Oh----you have more than 3 frogs now so it considered a collection! xoDiana

Everything you bought is so cool! I should do more of this type of shopping but every time I give it a try I don't find anything such as this. You must have a knack of picking the right places. Stopping by from Create It Thursday.

I love all your finds. Especially the bunnie. I am a yard sale junkie as well. I try to limit what I buy because I really do want to downsize my clutter.
