Spring Tablescape

We are enjoying casual meals on the new breakfast bar that H recently made at the end of our island.

I have the bar set with a fun tablescape for today's lunch.    I used my Easter tea set that was in a "bundle" that I got at the auction this past summer.   The tea set wasn't complete....the sugar and creamer were missing.   The box had the tea pot,  4 napkin rings,  and 4 cups and saucers.    Since I am only setting the table for 2,  I am using the 2 extra saucers to hold our bread  ( we are having a simple salad with crusty French bread for lunch today)   For dessert,  we will have hot tea and a couple of cookies.

I set the table with some of the  things that were already being used as decor in the kitchen,

The Olney & Floyd vintage can with spring flowers was in the window sill above the kitchen sink.

The Electric Garden Spinach can was also on the window sill.

The blingy SPRING sign was on the counter top in the kitchen

The pretty green tea glasses were on the breakfast bar.     This tablescape came together in a hurry just by using items that were already out.   When lunch is over,  I will just put them back where they came from....easy peasy!

Just for fun,   I might even put my Easter apron on to serve lunch to H...

I found this pretty Easter apron at Hancock Fabrics the other day   ....40% off

I have my pretty pink monogrammed napkins rolled up in the bunny napkin rings,   but we will actually use the pink and white polka dot paper napkins to wipe our hands on.      I hate to do laundry,  so I don't want to get my pretty linen napkins dirty...lol!

  8. That little eating place at the end of your island is really getting some use. So very handy. I have one in the kitchen with little handpainted stools..but we never use it. I'm really not sure why. I'm wondering if I turned it around.. WHY didn't I think of this before. Just seeing how much you used your little breakfast bar...I want to use ours too! I love all your printed material. Just beautiful, Penny. You must sew too. :( I should, I know.

  12. Penny,
Very pretty! Love the runner on that counter bar. I adore the counter bar too.
    The Easter apron is precious.....
I finally have all of my Winter decorations taken down except for the Powder Room which I will be working on this weekend. I still have all of Christmas to put away upstairs so that is why I will most likely not decorate for Easter this year.
    I will enjoy yours....

    Hugs,
    Deb
