Repurposed Foot/Head Board

H and I worked on a fun project today!

I had been looking for a sign to clearly spell out the Rules to anyone sitting on the front porch....lol!      I had planned to hang my Rules sign on the brick  wall next to the front door,  but when it came in from Amazon,   I got a different idea.     I thought I would like it better if  it was portable rather than stationary.

So,  I asked H if he could build me a Sandwich style advertising board

I closed my booth in February and I had the foot/head boards that were part of my display units sitting in the garage.   Sorry but I couldn't find a photo of them in my booth,  but here is a before and after.   The after is when I had it over the buffet in our dining room.

It only took H less than an hour to have my sandwich board ready to go!     Two hinges,   four eye hooks,  and a bit of chain.....he also cut off the legs on the head board.     I still have to make my "sand bags" to lay on the chains to hold it in place if I set it out in the wind!

I had an old light fixture that H screwed to the top so I can hang signs,  wreaths,  vintage metal watering cans,   the possibilities s are unlimited.

Flip it around and you have a chalk board to write on!

You will be seeing me use this in many posts to come!
