In Full Bloom

The Bradford Pear trees that line our circular drive are in full bloom.     Every year I say they are the prettiest I've ever seen them,  but this year they really are....lol!

The trees have been blooming for a couple of weeks and now the leaves are coming out.

I went across the street and took a photo from our neighbors yard so you could see how the trees line our drive.

There are two oak trees in the center of the drive that the leaves are starting to come out on.

I took the photo on the left about a week ago,    and you can see in the photo on the right how much greener the trees are now.

I've been adding some spring touches to the porch using small branches from the trees.

I made a simple wreath for the door with some of the blooms and a nest.

I also created a large bouquet and three smaller ones to put on the buffet by the front door.

Spring has sprung on the front porch!

I thought the fireplace mantel looked a little bare

So,  I temporarily placed some pots of white petunias on it.     (they are headed to the back yard when I get time to decorate the mantel for spring)

White Petunia's and Bradford Pear blossoms ......so pretty!

The Bradford Pear tree you see on the right side of the photo is a different kind from the rest.     It is about two weeks behind the others and has just started to bloom.

I have blossoms everywhere......even on the farm table.

Thanks for stopping by.......come back to visit soon!

  1. Just beautiful, the Bradford Pears do the best show, I really miss them since moving to the south. We plant some but the north have the best show!

  5. I don't know your location, Penny, but how do you keep your porch furniture--the buffet and fireplace surround from being harmed by the weather? I love the fireplace and mantle, by the way.

The pear trees are lovely. I have two crabapple trees in my yard that I look forward to seeing bloom in the Spring, but we aren't there yet here in Michigan! Despite what the calendar says!

  7. Thanks for sharing your beautiful flowers. The snow is just starting to recede here it looks a little like glaciers pulling back. If we can stop getting more snow I hope we too will start having our perennials pop up. Until then I do so appreciate looking at my fellow bloggers posting there shots.
