Happiness is Home Baked

I finished another section of the kitchen yesterday.

Since I am splitting up my time between the yard and the house,    it's taking a little longer than usually to finish decorating the kitchen for spring / summer.

This section of the counter starts off with a fun print of a bouquet of flowers in an ice cream cone......the flower print is on my Print it board on Pinterest.

Next to the print is a pink and white buffalo check cake carrier on a silver cake stand.    The cake carrier came from Home Goods and the stand is a yard sale find.

In the corner of the counter I have a little pink stove.....another yard sale find.

All four of the butter churns that I am using as canisters belonged to my mother.

I used double sided tape to put the tags on the front of my churns.

Above the little stove,   I have a banner and a print on the tobacco basket.

Happiness is Home Baked!

The print and banner are both designed by the talented Kerryanne.......here is a link to them.......https://www.shabbyartboutique.com/2019/04/april-in-the-handmade-club.html

To finish off this section of kitchen counter,    I have a scale with a hand painted sifter on it.

The pink and cream checked kitchen towels on the stove are from Home Goods.        I have more flower bouquets in ice creams cones on the refrig door.......

These are also on my Pinterest board.........https://www.pinterest.com/penny2005/print-it/sweets/

Oops,   I almost for got to show the stove ......

I used enamel lids as burner covers and have another print above them......

This print is another one of Kerryanne's.

I have one more wall to do and then I will be finished with the kitchen until fall.......or until I change my mine....lol!

If you missed the post where I shared the other side of the kitchen,   here is a link to it.......http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2019/04/life-is-short-lick-bowl.html

  3. Penny, More clever ideas to repurpose things from the past. I love how you use things from the past to create such wonderful memories of growing up. They bring back the love of family life. The butter churns and crochet work you use spark the past in me. We may not have had much in my family grown as far as worldly things, but we had love that is so hard to find in the day and time. We appreciated the simple things like home baked bread when we got home from school or a pot of pinto beans and fried potatoes, comfort food. We would rush in the door after school to see what Mom had cooking for us as we always hungry after school. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home. It to love, love, love that chandelier. I look forward to seeing it in each of your blogs.
Have a great weekend. Go find a good garage sale so we can see your treasures.
    Thank you for sharing.

  8. I love this kitchen. Just yesterday I was sharing a childhood memory of visiting my Mom's friend house in the 60's where everything was shabby chic just like this. I was little and so enthralled by it all as I had never seen anything so magical. Beautiful kitchen.
