White Iceberg Rose Tree's in the Garden

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day.     The kids surprised me with two gorgeous white rose tree's for Mother's Day.....one was from my daughter & sil  and the other one was  from the grandkids.

The name on the tag was Rosa Iceberg.....it's such a pretty color of white.

I put one on each side of the faux fireplace on the back porch

The back porch sits right off the sun room.    We have an open floor plan and I can see my roses all the way from my recliner in the family room......thru the sun room.....and out on to the porch.

The rose garden I have in the back yard is in full bloom,    so I cut a bouquet to put on the coffee table.

I did a little swapping around in the yard and was able to find two pots alike to put my rose tree's in.

I put a couple of white birds on the top soil of  this pot.......

I put a pair of concrete birds in the pot on the other side of the fireplace.....

I've made some changes to the fireplace sine the last time you saw it

I put the fireplace screen I had on the fireplace away for a while and replaced it with a white wicker twin headboard.    I put a vintage metal flower pot in front of it and stuck a metal rose sign in the pot.

I made changes to the mantel as well.......

I put a metal nest on the mantel and filled it with greenery.     When the kids showed up with my white rose tree's.    I added some white roses to the nest.

I added this pretty tag to my old concrete rooster.      I don't know how much longer his tail is going to hang on.....lol

On the other side of the mantel is a white ceramic chicken.     I bought her at a yard sale and she was really really brightly colored until I gave her a few shots of white spray paint.

I also gave her a Mother's Day necklace......

The back porch is pretty in the day time......but it really comes alive a night.......

I always enjoy your visits so much,    please come back soon!

  2. Good morning Penny, What a wonderful Mother's Day surprise those gorgeous rose trees are. You must really love your home as it really shows. I love what you did with the fireplace. Your back yard area looks so peaceful. I am so glad you share it with all of us.
There is epoxy glue that will fix Mr Rooster's tail right up again and last forever. You can paint over it too. We use a lot of epoxy glues where I work. A flower pot got broken at my work and the guys glued it right back together and it stayed.
    Thanks for sharing.

  7. Lovely roses, Penny! Iceberg roses are really beautiful and stay pretty much white all the time. I had a couple Iceberg plants at my last house in California and sometimes they would get a hint of pink because one of its parents is the English Rose called Mary rose. It is lovely either way!

Enjoy your roses and your yard and patio look lovely, as always! Love the ceramic chickens next to the nesting box. ;) Thank you for sharing at Share Your Style #208 this week ~ will be featuring this post at next week's Share Your Style, thank you. <3

    Hugs,
    Barb :)
