New Look for a Dark Wood Fireplace

I'd been thinking about painting the faux fireplace in the bedroom  for some time,   and in the middle of decorating it for spring.....I decided that NOW was the time.    So,   I took down all the spring decor that I had just put up and H took it to the garage to give it a fresh coat of white paint.

I absolutely LOVE it.....thank you H!

My only regret is that I didn't paint it sooner....lol!

I recently hung new wall decor in the bathroom and had planned to put the church pic that I took down on a wall in the hallway.      It turned out to be too big for the area I planned to hang it in so,    I tried it over the fireplace.

I love the church pic here and the wall decor that was over the fireplace before will find a new home in the hallway.

I had a vintage non working heater in the fireplace opening before with a gate as the "screen"     I wanted the new fireplace to have a completely different look for spring,   so I put the heater and gate in storage until I find a new place for them to go.

I printed off the banner that came in my Handmade Club kit for February.    It's another one of  Kerryanne's gorgeous designs,   here's a link to her blog if you would like to have one for your spring decorating.....https://www.shabbyartboutique.com/2020/02/the-vintage-easter-kit-handmade-club-february.html

My theme for decorating the master bedroom for spring is sheep.    I love decorating with sheep almost as much as I do cows....lol!

I changed the slip cover on my chair too.    It's so easy!    Here's a link to my post where I share how I do it......http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2019/10/diy-custom-farmhouse-christmas-slip.html#more

Now for a short tour around my spring bedroom......
