Whats New on the Sideboard

I wanted to give my sideboard a summer refresh and I started by adding some new elements to give it a layered look.    I love love love layering stuff....lol!

Please,   step up on the porch and have a closer look......

The first thing I did was add an empty ornate picture frame to the front of my sideboard.    Then,  I layered a small display cabinet in front of the frame.

I kept my vignette on the sideboard simple.....just a frew things in the cabinet and a single large item on each side.
I added a faux silk plant to the side......a great yard sale find over the week end!   It was $18 for the plant potted in a heavy brass planter.

I had taken down the mirror that was hanging on the wall across from the sideboard.....can't wait to share where it went.      But....I missed my mirror and had one left over from the redo I recently did in a guest bedroom so I hung it in it's place.    The little display cabinet on the sideboard also came from that bedroom redo as well.

I also changed the decor in this little corner of the porch entry,      I put a small pink cabinet there and set a scale and candle on the top of it.   A pretty rose tree that I've had for years completed my vignette.

If you go back and look at the first "before'  pic,   you can see what was there earlier.

H hung a chandelier we already had on hand over the farmhouse table.     If you missed that post and want to know all the details of why we changed the chandy out,   here's a link to that post......http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2021/07/new-chandelier-for-porch.html

I always enjoy your visits so much,   please stop by again soon.....hugs

  1. I love your rose tree!! I have a faux tree that has seen better days thanks to my cat thinking it's totally OK for climbing!! I have tons of Dollar Tree flowers left from another project, I think I will get some floral tape and attach them to the bare spots!! Thank you for the inspiration and thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

  2. What a lovely redo! The addition of the mirror makes the whole porch look so much larger too.
