H and I worked yesterday on our flower "bed".... |
The last couple of years, we have had mostly morning glories in the flower bed. I really like to have fresh flowers in the house, so we decided to plant some flowers that are good for cutting. |
We removed all the existing plants except the lavender bush in the left corner. H put a fresh coat of white paint on her...and then we planted lots of flowers! |
I don't know the real names of most of the flowers, but these are what I call baby carnations and babysbreath..... |
I love Foxglove... |
I added a border of old license plates and a snail..... |
I put a pot of ground cover in this sweet chair... |
We planted two white rose bushes... |
and two pink rose bushes. Our daughter bought me one of them for Mothers Day! |
I added a couple of architectural pieces... |
a vintage sprinkler and a cute little turtle! |
a childs bench and a rose sign I bought at HL a couple of years ago. |

Hello Penny... your home is so beautiful and you have so many lovely little spots to relax in and enjoy your gardens... I too love Foxgloves... I probably already told you when I was a little girl, my sister and I would spend every Summer in Santa Fe at my grandmother's and great~grandmothers home... my great~grandmother grew the most beautiful Foxgloves and I tagged alongside her, asking questions until she would always tell me her stories about whey they are called Foxgloves... so many happy memories... now I plant them for her in my own garden... wish we lived closer to each other... I would love to sit and drink sweet tea and chat with you... xoxo Julie Marie
