Christmas Home Tour...Family Room

Each year Jennifer Rizzo hosts a Holiday House Walk and I am so excited to be linking our family room to the tour.

This year our family room has a Nutcracker theme.    The fireplace is the heart of the family room so I gave it a little special attention.   I have my collection of Nutcrackers displayed on the mantle.

There are display cabinets on each side of the mantle.   On this cabinet I have the newest addition to my Nutcracker collection.   She looked French to me,  so I displayed her with vintage French poodles.

On the other side of the mantle,  I have my granddaughters collection of ballet Barbies.

Across from the fireplace is the sofa,    I have a large ottoman to prop your feet up on and plenty of fur throws and pillows to snuggle into.

To the side of the sofa is my library ladder.

I have putz houses and a collection of Thomas Kinkade Santas displayed on the ladder.

This is the vignette that is on the side table next to the sofa.

No family room would be complete with out the "black hole" ...lol
On the top shelf of the armoire is my collection of David Winters cottages.

The family room is pretty large, so I have a dining table at one end.   There is a built in cabinet that gives me plenty of space to display my treasures.

I added some ballet ornaments to the cabinet to continue the Nutcracker theme in the family room.

At the other end of the family room is the piano.

This Christmas I have a Precious Moments train displayed on the piano "mantle".

Thank you so much for having us again this year Jennifer,   it's always a pleasure to stop by and see all the gorgeous Christmas decor in everyone's  home.

  1. Reminds me of a candy shop. I don't know why. It's just the thing that popped in my head. Maybe because I'm a kid. I love the Barbies. Are those ornament? My daughter has several Barlie ornaments that were on her tree every year. Fun! Love it!
