We decided to extend the island and make a breakfast bar at the end of it. H is pretty clever isn't he! |
H gave them a coat of pretty pink paint to match the kitchen. |
I have a light breakfast planned for us today...... |
Toast, tea, |
I wanted to show a before and after of the island, but all I could find in a hurry was a photo of one of my posts showing some yard sale treasures. |
We still have a couple of projects to do before we are finished with the kitchen. |

It's nice to have a 'handy man' in the house! He did a wonderful job extending the island. The tea and toast sets are very pretty. You have a lovely, roomy kitchen, Penny. Thanks for joining me for tea and Happy New year!

ReplyDeletePenny this is such a clever idea, and the piano stools are really amazing, you got a great deal on them. Jo
ReplyDeletePenny,
ReplyDeleteH reminds me so much of my Dad.....He could build anything!! I so miss my Dad....... Joe is great but the one thing He is not is handy so having to pay people to do work for me kills me because all I had to do was just call my Dad.....Sigh!!
Now back to your new breakfast bar!!!!!! LOVE it!! and the molding is stunning!! LOVE those stools and the pink is just perfect for your Kitchen which as i have said many a time before , is so BIG!!!!!!!
We finally had temps. int he 30's on Sunday so i converted the outdoor Christmas decorations over to Winter decorations and have packed away Christmas in the Living Room and just about have that back to normal......I did find a table for my new stereo at an Antique Co op so I will be posting that soon......
Today I start the Dining Room.....
Hugs,
Deb
Beautiful kitchen. I am lucky to have married a wonderful handyman. Didn't have any idea until we moved into our first house. It was never mentioned actually.
ReplyDeleteLots of pretty things.... the tea looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLOve your kitchen so very spacious!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt turned out really cute. The only thing I could see that would have made me pause, is the difficulty getting to the cupboards and loss of drawer space. Of course you could store things there that you seldom use. HOW I wish my kitchen were so light and bright! NOT a single window in our kitchen...awful! H did a great job on the transformation.
ReplyDeleteWow!! Kudos to you for carrying it out so well. Everything looks superb especially those drawers!!

Extremely clever and oh so creative!!! Love how the kitchen is coming along, especially the pink cabinets. Oh how I wish my hubby would let me do something so wonderful - I would love walking into my kitchen and seeing sweet pink cabinets. Oh well, guess I just have to be happy with all of my pink accessories. Can't wait to see your next project!
ReplyDeleteWow - what an amazing team the two of you are! You think it up and yep! He gets the job done! I love it and what wonderful ideas the two of you dream up. So glad you shared!
ReplyDeleteOhh...wow! Penny, you are amazing! Very clever idea!! It looks so romantic.

your kitchen is incredible. I never know what I will find you creating from one week to the next. I'd have to steal that pig if I lived next door.
