Junkin

Between shopping for school clothes and stuff for our daughters upcoming wedding,  I didn't have much time to go to very many yard sales.

In a previous post,  I showed you a wedding dress that I had bought that week end and mentioned in the post that I had bought a second wedding dress that I would show you later.....well,  later is today.   I  picked up this lovely dress for $20.....

It has beautiful bead work,  gorgeous lace and also came in a nice box.

I already have too many vintage mixers,  but I couldn't pass up this one for $4....might try to paint it pink!

I can always use vintage luggage in my booth.     It is unusual for me to find 3 pieces that match so I was happy to see these old leather ones in one place.

I've never seen a Bible for sale that I didn't want to bring home with me.....

This one is really large and old.....how could someone part with it...for a dollar?  ( It even has family history recorded in it.)

I found several nice pieces of silver.    I like to pick up odd silver lids to use as burner covers on the stove.

The pretty covered box contains a bunch of vintage buttons.   I bought it at the auction a few weeks ago for $2.50 and had forgot about it until we emptied out the trunk of the car today.

Have a great day and come back soon!

  1. You found some great items! Can't believe that Bible, but my family Bible will probably be sold when I die, it seems my boy's just don't treasure the same things that I do. Have a super week! Blessings, Cindy

  2. Those old silver lids look adorable on top of pumpkins. I use all sizes on different size pumpkins. I also collect crystal and glass tops for the pumpkins.....of course you would have to remove the stem from the pumpkins....❤️❤️❤️

  3. Penny,
I so love seeing what you find as I am no longer going to yard sales and estate sales. I
have been working at cleaning and purging the kitchen and Joe took 3 computer paper boxes filled with dishes, pots and pans and gadgets up to our church for the Flea Market. Now I am going through cook books and other things.
Love the wedding gown. they are usually now that cheap around here. And I also love the vintage suitcases. I would love to see more pictures of your booth too so please think about that for future posts???

    Hugs,
    Deb

  5. it is sad that someone would get rid of a bible with family history in it, but I am just sentimental like that, my daughter didn't get that so maybe all my stuff will be sold off cheap after I die
