The fall weather here in Eastern New Mexico is just gorgeous. |
We are having grilled pimento cheese sandwiches and potato salad. I added some home grown mild chili's to give my grilled cheese sandwich a southwest flavor. |
H picked the chili's from our garden this morning and roasted them in the oven. |
The pimento cheese was left over from our lunch yesterday, so I thought the addition of the green chili's and grilling would make it not seem so "left over" |
This is the entrance to the front porch where we are having lunch. I had picked up some dried corn stalks from a local farm and tied the bundles around the columns. |
I plan to make a wreath with some of the dried corn cobs that were still left on the stalks. |
Yummy....... |

Love those corn husks and that's a lot of them too! One year I bought some and they were skimpy but yours are great!

Love those Corn Stalks!! We used to put them around our pillars but when we got the new vinyl pillars and had to pay what we paid for 16 foot pillars, Joe said no more stalks tied to the pillars so we have not had them in years......
ReplyDeleteI did scale back my outdoor decorating this year to mostly Fall and donated some things to our church Flea Market.....
The food looks Delicious!!
Hugs,
Debn

ReplyDeleteThe entrance to your porch is just gorgeous, we do the same thing with cornstalks, it's the only time of year my hubby gets into decorating with me :) Your table is just gorgeous, anything served on it would be great!
ReplyDeleteLunch looks yummy, and I am just loving all of your fall decor. I can't wait until it is nice enough to enjoy the outdoors in Texas. We were outside this evening.... it is slowly crawling in. I love fall weather!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! In our area, as soon as you bring out food in the fall, the hornets are all around. You must not have that trouble. When the weather is the nicest, you can't eat outside! Ugh!
ReplyDeletePenny, you have it all looking so pretty. I love the stalks, we used to do that, I guess we stopped when our daughter got older. You food looks so yummy, it's 5:14 am my time and that would be so good for breakfast!
ReplyDeletePenny....Love your entrance and what a yummy looking lunch. Thanks for sharing at Friday Favorites. I hope to see you there again this Friday. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeletePenny, the weather here has been gorgeous lately as well! Lunch out on the porch sounds perfect. Love the festive look of the corn stalks. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
