Moving Things Around

I have been busy redoing some of the wall decor around the house.       The big mirror that was on this wall became part of the new decor on a wall in the sunroom.

I moved around some furniture in the sunroom and there wasn't room for this desk in the new furniture arrangement and I just happened to have a blank space in the entry because of moving some other furniture around.......lol!

The desk opens to reveal a small area to store some keepsakes.....such as my grandparents old glasses and H's vintage typewriter.

On top of the desk is a floral design and a metal box that holds some note cards,  magnifying glasses, and pens.....etc

I added some brass birds and crystals to the existing chandy......

In the photo on the left you can see the furniture piece that was originally in the entry and on the right is the new piece from the sun room.

The piece that was in the entry before the desk was used in the construction of this new piece.    If you missed that post here is the link to it......http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2016/07/new-entry-piece-from-odds-and-ends.html

The cuckoo clock birdhouses that you see in the entry used to be in the sunroom  (above the sofa in the center photo)   If you missed the new wall arrangement in the sunroom,  here is the link to that post..... http://penny-pennystreasures.blogspot.com/2016/07/wall-decor-changes-in-sunroom.html

Here is where the clock above the sofa in the sunroom went.

I think I am done moving stuff around for a while!

The entry is finished......til fall.....and Christmas!

Some of you have asked  "where do you store it all?"      I do have a lot of storage places ....but......I also move things around so they are "stored" in plain sight.      Don't buy new....redo!

  2. I learned to type on a typewriter similar to that and to this day I bang down hard on my pc's keyboard - it was a neat old thing, I loved it - it was my father's and was old when he was young. My little sister has it in her home office for show now.

Your new changes look wonderful Penny!

    Hugs!

  8. Penny,
Another wonderful vignette!! You are lucky that you have everything in one color so you can move everything around. That is the trouble that i have with every room being a different color..... I bet it is hot down there because it sure is sweltering where i am!!
